Bonnier Tidskrifter's Market Share is Up

Bonnier Tidskrifter sales analysis manager Lena Israelsson summarizes the past five months. The good news is that the numbers are up.

For the fifth month in a row, since January 2010, Bonnier Tidskrifter has increased its market share, according to industry analyst Sifo Research RM. Readership numbers also shows a positive picture in the latest Orvesto report (2010:1).

BoligPluss Gets Danish Cousin

Bonnier Publications' Norwegian interior design magazine BoligPluss to launch in Denmark.

After several successful years in Norway, Bonnier Publications' interior design magazine BoligPluss is expanding to Denmark. Bonnier Publications has previously taken a number of successful Danish magazine concepts to the Norwegian market, but this is the first time a Norwegian magazine is being "exported" to Denmark. The first issue will come out in October.

No one in Europe could have missed last weekend's biggest news from Sweden: Crown Princess Victoria finally got her Prince Daniel. The wedding was watched with interest by royalists and republicans alike - and the media of course. TV4 broadcast before, during and after the wedding and was also a major partner for Love Stockholm 2010, the city festival held in conjunction with the wedding in Stockholm June 6-20.

Homeenter Wins With More Clubs

From music to DVDs, chocolate to crafts, Homeenter has a mail-order club for just about everyone.

On the walls of Homeenter's conference room, a row of magazines with music stars on the covers line the walls. Some four decades of hairstyles give a strong sense of the soul of Homeenter, which opened in 1973 as the Scandinavian Music Club. "We started with music," says Henrik Hjorth, CEO of Homeenter, which is what the company has been called since 2006. "Our first big star was Bruce Springsteen - before he was so popular."

TV4 Gets New Licenses for HDTV

Viewers will soon be able to get TV4 HD, Canal+ Series and a new Canal+ channel with sports, film and series.

The Swedish Radio and TV authority has given out HD licenses and two Bonnier companies have been recipients. Swedish TV4 AB has gotten a license for TV4 HD and C More Entertainment/Canal+ licenses for a new HD channel for sports, films and series, as well as for the existing Canal+ Series channel.

TransWorld SNOWboarding has come out with a new trick tip App, featuring videos from top snowboarding pros, exclusive TransWorld SNOWboarding video content, plus photos and the latest news and information within the snowboarding realm. Bonnier Joins Aller and Egmont in Nordic Digital Magazine Initiative

Bonnier has founded the Nordic Digital Magazine Initiative with other magazine publishers. The initiative aims to ensure standards, improve the reader experience and better collaborate with advertisers when it comes to e-readers.

Bonnier is joining two of the Nordic region's biggest magazine publishers in starting a new initiative to strengthen the market for digital magazines. A common store is one of the things that will be investigated in the Nordic Digital Magazine Initiative. Along with Bonnier, the founders are Aller and Egmont.

"Our readers love their magazines," says Erik Aller, director general for Aller. "We want to ensure that our readers have an equally amazing experience reading on a tablet computer.

Twilight Movie Night Nearly Sold Out

On June 30, the third Twilight movie Eclipse has its world premier. At Sweden's SF Bio, fans can get a headstart with a marathon viewing of the first two movies followed by a showing of Eclipse at midnight.

At 27 of SF Bio's cinemas in Sweden, a special Twilight Movie Night will be held on June 29. The first and second film of the series wil be shown during the evening, and at midnight the third film will have its world premier - The Twilight Saga - Eclipse. The official premier is actually June 30, so SF Bio's event is the first showing of the film for which you can buy tickets.
