Money on the Table at TV4

New game show to premiere on Sweden's TV4.

This fall, a new gameshow, Pengarna på bordet (Money on the table) will premiere on Swedish TV4. Competitors can win up to SEK 2 million if they answer the program's eight questions correctly. The program host will be Peter Jihde.

TV4 News Biggest Change in Four Years

A new segment, longer news hour and more interactivity are some of the major changes for Sweden's TV4 News.

Tonight marks the biggest change for TV4 News in four years. New graphics, new departments, logo - and the studio has been redesigned. Plus the 10 p.m. news broadcast will be on ehour with news and in-depth reporting Monday through Thursday.

"For 15 years, we've talked about extending the news in teh evening but tonight we're finally daring to do it, since the 10 p.m. news is going so well," says Göran Ellung, program director for the news.

New Food Magazine and TV Show Mitt Kök Crosses Boundaries

New food concept Mitt Kök - my kitchen - to come out as a program on TV4 and a weekend magazine from Expressen.

Standing out in a forest of food magazines and TV programs takes work and planning. And it helps to have a partner. So was the thinking when Sweden's TV4 and daily newspaper Expressen decided to launch a new TV food concept for TV4's morning magazine program in combination with a magazine - Mitt Kök, which means "my kitchen" in English.

Bonnier Fakta and TV4's Cooking Collaboration

When Sweden's top chef is named, a cookbook will follow shortly in a joint project of Bonnier Fakta and TV4.

Sveriges Mästerkock (Sweden's top chef) is underway in full force on TV4. More than 2,000 people applied and 14 made it as finalists. On April 20, Sweden's top chef will be revealed.

Soko Hits the Web

Soko.se, a new auction and shopping fashion site from TV4 and Expressen launched.

The TV4 Group and Swedish daily Expressen have launched Soko, an auction and shopping site for the fashion conscious. A number of well-known fashion bloggers in Sweden were invited to help in the development and the look of the site. Soko will be "an inspiring and obvious meeting place for the fashion conscious who are into buying clothes," says Malin Stråhle, director for Soko.

Expressen and Allt om Mat Release Cookbook Series

In a follow-up to an earlier series on tastes from around the world, Swedish daily newspaper Expressen and food magazine Allt om Mat release a new set of cookbooks.

On Sept. 26, Expressen launched a new collectible cookbook series: Allt om det goda (everything good) with recipes from  Allt om Mat as well as some new material.

At Sweden Social Web Camp, the country's web entrepreneurs gather to talk about the future of the Internet.

For the second year in a row, Sweden's web entrepreneurs and others interested in social media gathered together on Tjärö island on the west coast of Sweden at SSWC, Sweden Social Web Camp. Some 400 people gathered together over the weekend of Aug. 13-15 to camp, swim and take saunas - and talk about the future of the Internet. Workshops and presentations are held based on interest, and run by the participants themselves.
