Folio Awards to Bonnier Corporation

Saveur wins big in Folio's Ozzie and Eddie awards.

Bonnier took home eight Folio awards for 2011‚ with Saveur winning four and Working Mother one gold; Field & Stream took two silver awards TransWorld SNOWboarding a bronze picking up an award each.

Bonnier Corp. Boasts 16 Finalists in Ozzies and Eddies

Saveur and Field & Stream garner three nominations each in Folio's annual awards for magazines.

Folio, the main U.S. magazine industry organization, has announced the finalists for its annual awards, the Eddies for editorial content and the Ozzies for graphic design. Competing for the prizes are 16 nominations from Bonnier Corporation magazines - Saveur and Field & Stream garnered three nominations each.

Transworld Snowboarding+ Hits the iPad with Links and Video

The Bonnier Corp. action sport title gets the Mag+ treatment - but with new features such as videos and links.

The third U.S. magazine using the Mag+ platform for the iPad has arrived: Transworld Snowboarding+. Bonnier Corporation's action title was released at Apple's App Store on Oct. 6. "The reception has been outstanding," says Annie Fast, editor-in-chief for the magazine.

New Trick Tip App from TransWorld SNOWboarding

TransWorld SNOWboarding releases new app, second in what will be a full series of sports apps from TransWorld Media.

TransWorld SNOWboarding has come out with a new trick tip App, featuring videos from top snowboarding pros, exclusive TransWorld SNOWboarding video content, plus photos and the latest news and information within the snowboarding realm. This is TransWorld Media's second app to be released in its series of trick tip apps, the first being from TransWorld SKATEboarding, released in January, with the remaining TransWorld Media brands soon to follow.

TransWorld Wants MTV and MTV Wants TransWorld

For the first time ever, a TransWorld TV show will be hitting the airwaves on an MTV network in slots that the network considers prime time. But it’s even better than that: Not just one but two shows will air. TransWorld SNOWboarding and TransWorld SKATEboarding both have scored one-hour specials on MTV2.  

"This is a major breakthrough for the TransWorld brand, as both of these shows integrate the brand into the programming by emphasizing the respect these A-list athletes have for TransWorld," says Michael Starobin, Bonnier's vice president of media development. "Additionally, MTV2 is available in 75 million households, making these specials an important part of our sponsors' marketing programs."
