Weldon Owen's international succes, Show Me How, wins two awards.

Show Me How, one of Weldon Owen's top titles with 410,000 copies sold in 17 international editions, recently won the Booksellers' Medal of Honor from the Dutch publisher and bookseller industry organization CPNB. The award, which is given to non-fiction books published in the Netherlands, is for books that that not only do a great job of informing readers about a topic without any prior knowledge, but also serve as ambassadors for all books within the genre.The various titles are as ambassador of all books in their genre.

Spa Magazine in the Music Business – Releasing Stress Free, Healing CDs

Spa, the magazine of healthy living, travel, and beauty, is taking its message to music. In partnership with Decca Label Group, a division of Universal Music Group, Spa is releasing the Stress Free Music Series, a new CD collection dedicated to pursuing a healthier and more peaceful way of relaxing through music.

The first two CDs, Stress Free: Music for the End of the Day and Healing: Music to Soothe the Mind and Body, are both slated for release Aug. 25. Featuring some of the world's most beautiful classical music of all time, the CDs also include a letter from Spa magazine Editor-in-Chief Julie Sinclair with tips for creating a personal spa-at-home sanctuary.

    Parenting School Years Increases Circulation

    The five-month-old edition of Parenting magazine increases its rate base by 10%, with the highest number of paid subscribers in the parenting category in the U.S.

    Parenting School Years, the five-month-old edition of Parenting magazine for moms of school-age children, will increase its circulation to 550,000 as of the February 2010 issue, a 10% increase from its launch circulation.  This is the first rate base increase for the U.S.

    On July 18, Chris Cote served as Master of Ceremonies for a gala for the PacSun Pipeline To A Cure campaign benefiting the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.  The campaign hopes to raise awareness of the bond between surfing and cystic fibrosis.  Australian medical research showed that young cystic fibrosis patients who surf had healthier lungs.
