Bonnier Magazines Acquires Tidningskungen.se

Bonnier Magazines becomes majority owner of Mediafy, the Nordic region's biggest magazine subscription retailer.

Bonnier Tidskrifter will become the new majority owner of Mediafy. Mediafy sells magazines over the web, primarily through the website Tidningskungen.se. The company has operations in Norway (Bladkongen.no) and Finland (Lehtikuningas.fi), and sells corporate subscription packages as well.

Bonnier does not extend the contract for Glamour

After five years as a licence publisher of Swedish GLAMOUR, Bonnier Tidskrifter and Condé Nast have mutually agreed to not prolong the publication of GLAMOUR in its license partnership.

The October issue will be the last under Bonnier Tidskrifter as publisher.

Bonnier Joins Aller and Egmont in Nordic Digital Magazine Initiative

Bonnier has founded the Nordic Digital Magazine Initiative with other magazine publishers. The initiative aims to ensure standards, improve the reader experience and better collaborate with advertisers when it comes to e-readers.

Bonnier is joining two of the Nordic region's biggest magazine publishers in starting a new initiative to strengthen the market for digital magazines. A common store is one of the things that will be investigated in the Nordic Digital Magazine Initiative. Along with Bonnier, the founders are Aller and Egmont.

"Our readers love their magazines," says Erik Aller, director general for Aller. "We want to ensure that our readers have an equally amazing experience reading on a tablet computer.

Bonnier Tidskrifter Website in English

The Swedish magazine house Bonnier Tidskrifter launches an English version of its corporate website.

Swedish magazine company Bonnier Tidskrifter today launched its international corporate website, Bonniermagazines.se. The English site has the same news on BT's titles and information for advertisers, although there is less content than on the Swedish site.

Mama to Be First Swedish Magazine on the iPad

Bonnier Tidskrifter's magazine for mothers will be the first available in Sweden on the Mag+ platform.

Popular Science was the first Bonnier magazine released on the digital Mag+ platform when the iPad was launched in the U.S.

Fältman & Malmén Wins Ad Contest

Winners in Bonnier Tidskrifter's ad contest Nya Uppslag 2010 announced.

Advertising agency Fältman & Malmén won Bonnier Tidskrifter's Nya Uppslag ad competition with an ad for a Rubens and Van Dyke exhibition at Stockholm's Nationalmuseum. The ad was published in the Swedish food magazine Allt om Mat and features a photo of dough that Rubens would have been proud to paint. The prize includes SEK 500,000 in advertising space during 2010 in a Bonnier Tidskrifter title of the winner's choice.
