Life At Bonnier - Anders Eriksson

Dagens Medicin Changes with the Times

Dagens Medicin recently moved offices to be close to sister publication Dagens Industri. For CEO Anders Eriksson, the move provides synergies and ideas for a brand that is building on its strengths and going in new directions.

When Anders Eriksson, CEO for Bonnier Business Press International, had the opportunity to move all the Swedish publications of the company into one place, he jumped at the chance. "Most of our businesses are so spread out geographically around Europe, it's great when we get such an opportunity to take advantage of it," he says.

Big Changes on the Eastern Front

Last spring, he became CEO of Bonnier Business Press in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), countries where the advertising market has crashed to historic lows. Anders Eriksson has had a tough first six months on the job, with heavy cutbacks and savings measures. Despite this, he dares to invest in the future.

For Bonnier Business Press in Central and Eastern Europe, 2009 has been marked by the drastic tightening of budget strings. In total, expenditures have been cut by around 30 percent, and in some countries even more.

Anders Eriksson has for the last eight years been CEO of Melbourne IT Digital Brand Services, a division within Melbourne IT, a global internet solutions provider listed on the Australian Stock Exchange. During this time Anders has developed the business from a small, loss-making company into the number one global provider of Internet Brand Protection services.
