Life At Bonnier - Elisabeth Palombo

Bonnier Corporation Starts Leadership Course

Modeled after courses in Sweden, Bonnier Corporation in the U.S. works to develop its own leaders.

Bonnier Corporation in the U.S. has begun a leadership course designed after Bonnier Sweden's Bonnier Media University. "The ongoing development of  management team - from the lower and middle levels to the top executives - is one of the strongest beliefs, and biggest priorities, at Bonnier Corporation," says Terry Snow, CEO.

Snow initiated the program in part to the overwhelming requests for more educational seminars from staff.

It's Time for GROW Again

GROW, Bonnier's exchange program for 2011, is looking for applications. Wouldn't you like to work in another country? BMU's Elisabeth Palombo explains.

It's time again to consider working in another job, another company, another country - without leaving Bonnier or your old job behind. GROW, Bonnier's global rotation program is now looking for participants for the three terms of 2011. "We have new jobs, new companies and new countries this year," says Elisabeth Palombo of Bonnier Media University and manager of the GROW program.

Brainstorming pays off. At least in the case of Bonnier Media University's recent workshops at Bonnier Corp. in the U.S., where the ideas developed are already up and running. And generating revenue.

The first installment of workshops began in February, and publishers have been quick to see the results. John McEver, publisher of Boating, says, "From our workshop we created a multi-platform marketing program with a revenue target of USD 300,000 for the fourth quarter."
