Finance Takes to the Catwalk

Slovenia's Finance TRENDI magazine attracts hundreds to its fashion shows in Ljubljana.

In September 2009 when Slovenia's Finance launched Finance TRENDI, a new lifestyle magazine, the business daily wanted to provide something extra for its readers. Since that first issue, the magazine has grown from four issues in 2010 to six issues planned for 2011, with themes from fashion to architecture and interior design, to healthy lifestyles.

Oh, boy, what should I write for my first post? Only a bit more than a week has passed of my stay here in New York City, working as a research analyst in the corporate research department of Bonnier Corporation, and so many things have already happened and I have gathered many experiences.

Big Changes on the Eastern Front

Anders Eriksson has had a tough first six months on the job, with heavy cutbacks and savings measures. Despite this, he dares to invest in the future.  

For Bonnier Business Press in Central and Eastern Europe, 2009 has been marked by the drastic tightening of budget strings. In total, expenditures have been cut by around 30 percent, and in some countries even more.
