Feber – the Modern Magazine

"Gas pedal problem bigger than expected", "Skarsgard in new movie", "Norwegian Cessna landing", plus a teaser on Italian fashion designer Valentino's spring and summer collection. Few magazines could succeed with such a broad mix of cover headlines – but Feber – which means Fever in English – can. This past week for the first time the magazine boasted 150,000 unique visitors

Feber.se calls itself "Sweden's biggest news-related blog network."  Since the beginning of 2010 it has been a part of Bonnier Tidskrifter's Digital Media apartment. The editorial staff of three includes Roger Åberg, CEO; Caroline Blomst, fashion director; and Wille Wilhelmsson, technology editor.

Jorid Aldrin: A Night at the Opera

Jorid enjoys Copenhagen's cultural experience and works with analyse of new sites

Sunday, I just got back from a long walk in the beautiful Fredriksberg gardens which was created more than 300 years ago and is said to be one of the most romantic landscape gardens in Denmark. I can only agree. It was absolutely fantastic with large ponds and canals surrounded by old trees in autumn colours, winding paths and small bridges.

Watch out – here comes SkiNet!

To launch three new web sites in only two months – is it even possible? It was the task that Megan Miller, digital director at Bonnier Mountain Group, faced this summer. And she did it – against all odds. Here is her own story.

The first thing I noticed about the Bonnier office in Boulder, Colorado was the giant ski-resort gondola hanging in the lobby above the reception desk. The second thing was that my work wardrobe of dresses and high heels were out of place in an office where outdoor gear doubles as business attire.

Free vs. Paid Content

GROW's Päivi Koskinen contemplates the challenges of getting consumers to pay for content and suggests a new strategy for the web

One of the reasons that got me interested in GROW was that I see a clear analogy between consumer paid online service like Keventajat and a special-interest magazines. We sell different lengths of memberships, magazines sells different lengths of subscriptions. The content is highly targeted and connects people to their passions in the form of articles, tools, discussion forums, video clips, etc.

Scrum Stories

GROW's Patricia Schmid learns how to "scrum", Orlando style

Today, I want to write a little bit about how interactive development work is organized at Bonnier Corporation. At university, Business Information and Project Management was one of the classes I liked most, so how things are structured and how you are able to have more transparency at work is something which really fascinates me.

Bonnier Corporation restructured its interactive development project management process for the websites earlier this year using Scrum.

Graduation Day

Bonnier Publishing Program 3.0: 20 participants, 40 speakers, 16 companies in 3 countries

It's late spring in Stockholm, a time when city residents get to enjoy blooming lilacs, white nights, and truckloads of drunken high school graduates reveling in the streets.  Last week, 20 men and women gathered for a more sober, but no less exuberant, diploma ceremony of their own.  The Bonnier Publishing Program 3.0  came to a fitting end at Nedre Manilla, the Bonnier private residence in Stockholm's Djurgården, where the young digital lions of

Meet Patricia Schmid

From Germany to Florida: our GROW ambassador says everything in the U.S. really is bigger

Hi! My name is Patricia Schmid. Actually I come from Austria, but a job offer at arsEdition, one of the biggest publishing houses of children's and gift books in Germany, made me move to Munich, Germany a few years ago. This time, my journey took a bit longer to my new working place for the next three months. I am with Bonnier Corporation in Florida as a part of the Audience Development Team.

In Munich, I am responsible not only for the web activities of arsEdition, but I also take care of the marketing campaigns we offer to the resellers and for the fairs we are visiting.
