Bonnier Tidskrifer's advertising competition Nya Uppslag is underway again. A box of Bonnier Tidskrifter magazines has been sent to Sweden's foremost ad agencies with an invitation to partake in the competition. Entries must be in by the end of November. The prizes will given out in March 2011.
A new category in this year's competition is New Formats, in which the agency needs to convert an advertising spread into the Mag+ format for the iPad.
"The new category provides the possibility of testing a completely new tool and coming up with new designs," says Sara Kleréus Papadopoulou, project manager for the competition. "Since Bonnier Tidskrifter has recently launched its first magazine in the iPad format, mama+ we thought it was a great idea to give ad agencies the chance to think bigger. In the New Format category they'll convert an advertising spread into the Mag+ format."
This year there are three wild card spots given out to three ad agencies in Europe outside Sweden.
"We think this will both raise the bar and push the agencies to give a little more," says Kleréus Papdopoulou. "When last year's winner, Fältman Malmén created this year's campaign for Nya Uppslag, its idea felt just right."
