Bonnierförlagen books nominated in several categories for Sweden's top book award, the August Prize.
Today the nominees were announced to Sweden's No. 1 book award, the Augustpriset 2011. Eight books from Bonnier are on the list.
The two Bonnier books nominated in the literature category are:
- Flod (River) by Carolina Fredriksson (Albert Bonniers Förlag)
- Rekviem för John Cummings (Requiem for John Cummings) by Bengt Ohlsson (Albert Bonniers Förlag)
The three nominated for Swedish non-fiction are:
- Spektrum (Spectrum) by Johan Svedjedal (Wahlström & Widstrand)
- Ni har klockorna - vi har tiden (You have the clocks - we have the time) by Lennart Pehrson (Albert Bonniers Förlag)
- Alla monster måste dö! (All monsters must die) by Magnus Bärtås and Fredrik Ekman (Albert Bonniers Förlag/Månpocket)
And three in the children's and young adult category, all from Bonnier Carlsen:
- Konstiga djur (Strange animals) by Lotta Olsson
- Pojkarna (The boys) by Jessica Schiefauer
- Petras prick (Petra's spot) by Maria Nilsson Thore
