August Prize Nominees Named

Today the nominees were announced to Sweden's No. 1 book award, the Augustpriset 2011. Eight books from Bonnier are on the list.

The two Bonnier books nominated in the literature category are:

• Flod (River) by Carolina Fredriksson (Albert Bonniers Förlag)
• Rekviem för John Cummings (Requiem for John Cummings) by Bengt Ohlsson (Albert Bonniers Förlag)

The three nominated for Swedish non-fiction are:

• Spektrum (Spectrum) by Johan Svedjedal (Wahlström & Widstrand)
• Ni har klockorna - vi har tiden (You have the clocks - we have the time) by Lennart Pehrson (Albert Bonniers Förlag)
• Alla monster måste dö! (All monsters must die) by Magnus Bärtås and Fredrik Ekman (Albert Bonniers Förlag/Månpocket)

And three in the children's and young adult category, all from Bonnier Carlsen:

• Konstiga djur (Strange animals) by Lotta Olsson
• Pojkarna (The boys) by Jessica Schiefauer
• Petras prick (Petra's spot) by Maria Nilsson Thore
