The U.S. Bonnier Corporation won 24 awards at the 2009 Florida Magazine Awards, breaking the previous record of most awards won by a single company. The awards were held on Friday, August 7 in Orlando, Florida.
Islands magazine swept the most coveted golds for Best Overall Magazine, Best Written Magazine and Best Overall Design. They won a total of seven awards.
Florida Travel + Life took first for Best Overall Use of Photography and Best Single, Original B&W Photo. They won a total of nine awards.
Sport Fishing's Doug Olander won first place in Best Editorial/Commentary. Robert Stephen of Boating Life won silver in the Best Column category, adding to the magazine's silver in Best Overall Design.
Garden Design took silver for Best Overall Magazine and Best Overall Use of Photography. Sport Diver took silver for Best Special Theme Issue and Home: Miami's Beth Dunlop took silver in Best Editorial/Commentary.
