Estonia's Bonnier Award Goes to Postimees Reporter Tuuli Koch

Tuuli Koch wins Estonia's most prestigious journalism prize, the Bonnier Award.

The Bonnier Award, Estonia's oldest and most prestigious journalism prize, was presented on Tuesday to Tuuli Koch, a reporter from daily newspaper Postimees. She won for her investigative reporting on Tallinn Mayor Edgar Saavisar's secret attempts to get funding from the president of the Russian state railway.

"I think it cleared the air to a certain extent," Koch said in an interview with business daily Äripäev after she won the award. "It made life easier for some and more difficult for others."

The award was presented by Hans-Jacob Bonnier, senior vice president for the Swedish business daily Dagens Industri and honorary president of the European Business Press Federation.
