Folio Awards to Bonnier Corporation

Saveur wins big in Folio's Ozzie and Eddie awards.

Bonnier took home eight Folio awards for 2011‚ with Saveur winning four and Working Mother one gold; Field & Stream took two silver awards TransWorld SNOWboarding a bronze picking up an award each. Considered one of the most prestigious distinctions in the magazine industry, the Folio prizes are divided into the Eddie awards, which recognize editorial excellence, and the Ozzie awards, which commend the best in magazine design.

Saveur's April 2011 issue won a Best Overall Design Ozzie and a Best Full Issue Eddie for its in-depth exploration of the sandwich, while the August 2010 "Greece issue" was awarded a Best Cover Ozzie for its vibrant image of stuffed peppers. Credit for the design awards goes to Art Director Dave Weaver.

Additionally, writer Alexander Lobrano received a Best Single Article Eddie award for "Spirit of the Bistro," a study of traditional bistro and French cooking in the November 2010 issue.

Working Mother won Folio's 2011 Ozzie Award for Best Redesign. Creative Director Ebby Antigua and her team won for their fresh and original vision of Working Mother's revamped architecture.

Field & Stream won a silver Ozzie in the best cover category, consumer above 250,000 circulation category and a silver Eddie in the consumer, sports, single article category for "The Essentials."  TransWorld SNOWboarding won a bronze Eddie in the consumer sport full issue category.
