Goldfish best web idea

About 60 startups participated in 24 Hour Business Camp at Yasuragi Hasseludden in Stockholm. In the fierce competition, Goldfish CRM won Bonnier's newly instituted awards for best business model.

24hbc is a participant-driven conference where entrepreneurs from all over Sweden come together to create and launch a web business in 24 hours. At the afterparty in Stockholm, Bonnier, who also co-sponsored the event, handed out a prize for best business model.

The winner, Goldfish CRM (who, according to themselves, is "a sales system for salespersons with the memory of a goldfish"), won the prize "for the most innovative idea, the best shout and most promising (but unfinished) concept". The price, 250 000 SEK (36 000 USD) in advertising space, was received by Hannes Skirgård from Goldfish.

Besides the first prize, three more light-hearted prizes were awarded.

Sistaordet.se won "Best pitch and most cynical business", Ratemypit.ch won "Most innovative domain name" and Pantamycketmera.net received an award for "Most optimistic community effort."

"The evening was just as successful as I had hoped," said Paulina Modlitba Söderlund from Bonnier R&D. "It also appears that people generally felt that we made a good choice regarding the winner. To be honest, choosing Goldfish CRM was not completely obvious, since it's still a rather unfinished product. The concept is exciting and innovative, and since innovation is precisely what we want to reward, we feel satisfied."
