Jorid Aldrin: Busy weeks at the online department

Our GROW ambassador Jorid is checking out Vesterbros cozy coffeehouses and looking at twitter as a traffic channel.

Time flies, It's almost a month since I left Sweden. In a kind of way it feels like I just arrived, but in the same time it feels like I've been here for ages and my life back home feels kind of distant.

I just love my apartment here in Copenhagen, I'am actually borrowing it from Steffen Trannerup who is in Orlando right now as a part of the GROW project. It's situated in Vesterbro, which is a really nice part of Copenhagen with lots of small cozy cafés, bars, restaurants and trendy boutiques. Right now I am sitting at a café called Bang & Jensen. It's an old pharmacy that they made into a café, really cozy with different kinds of old furniture, large windows, soft music, candles on the tables and great coffee. Outside it's cold and it really feels like autumn.

At the online department, the last weeks have been busy. There is a huge project going on to migrate all the Bonnier Publications sites, except for I form and Bo Bedre who has already been migrated, from the old CMS platform Polopoly to the new Drupal platform. Almost every Bonnier Publications magazine has a site in 4 different countries, so this means that there are many sites that has to be migrated. The Danish Science Illustrated site will be launched on the new platform within a few weeks, followed by the Science Illustrated sites in Sweden, Norway and Finland, and the rest of the sites have to be migrated before the end of this year,  so as you can imagine everyone at the Online department is very busy.

The Swedish I form site released a blog two weeks ago, which we hope will be a good complement to the site and interesting reading for the visitors. Now you can also find Iform.se and komputer.dk on twitter.
