More Sport for Canal+

The Nordic countries cable giant Canal+ has expanded, with new channels Canal+ Fotboll (soccer) and Canal+ Hockey and new sport media rights with increased coverage of important leagues - Allsvenskan and the hocky Elitserien give Canal+ a strong sport offering. Spanish La Liga and Allsvenskan are broadcast exclusively by Canal+ and the number of matches from Allsvenskan and Elitserien shown will be increased both via Canal+ Sport 1 and the new channels. Among the new media rights purchased are Wimbledon as well as the ATP and WTA tours, the NBA basketball league in the U.S., the Italian soccer Series A in high definition, the Ultimate Fighting Championship, American Major League Soccer and the Copa America 2011.
