Web Videos vs. TV

Is online video a threat to TV? Business Week/Gigaom says don't worry, the question is irrelevant

Online videos, especially premium full-episodes, are increasing in popularity. Consumers are setting up computers in their living rooms and co-viewing online clips with their friends. Will online video steal TV share? Business Week/Gigaom says the question is irrelevant, since the line between traditional TV and online video is blurring. "At the end of the day, the audience simply wants to watch something that entertains; those who create entertaining content just want it on as many screens as possible, and those who own the entertaining content want to make sure to get paid for it."

Is the question really "irrelevant"? I think the queastion must be very relevant espcially for a media company when it comes to understand in what techincs/content/organizations, etc to invest in to be able to get good ROI in the future. Or am I wrong?
