Parenting Releases First App for the iPad

Parenting Seasons has debuted, a new quarterly publication available exclusively on the iPad. Parenting Seasons provides moms with tips for games, crafts, and activities for the whole family, and will be released four times a year: Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall.

According to a MomConnection study conducted by The Parenting Group in October, the number of moms who own an iPad is expected to triple in the next six months. "The iPad offers a new opportunity to connect with a different audience of moms, so we felt that it was important to create an application that provides readers with a unique package of content that they won't find anywhere else in print or online," said Rachel Fishman Feddersen, editorial director, digital content, strategy and design for The Parenting Group.

Every issue will contain seasonally-themed ideas for children's fashion, family activities, recipes, crafts, entertainment and gear in "Play", "Eat" and "Make" sections within each month. The monthly "Calendar" function will highlight daily quick parenting tips and tricks, and interactive features throughout the pages will bring editorial content and advertisements to life with video, photo galleries, external web links, social sharing and more. "We designed Parenting Seasons to be a shared experience for parents and kids to enjoy together, with beautiful photos and plenty of interactive elements for little hands to touch," added Fishman Feddersen.
