R&D Summary - week 47

Our weekly summary of what we've been up to.

This week has been full of workshops and new insights. A very exciting week for us!

Björn held a workshop for the MCXL programme at Stockholm School of Economics on digital reading and is also looking into what's going in Asia with the help of Benjamin Joffe at +8*. Nice to see what's happening in China, Japan and South Korea, not the stuff that you usually come across in your RSS feed.

Björns talk on what tools organizations should use when working with realtime social media from the Disruptive Media Realtime Conference is now available online:

Sara met with Lawrence Lessig and is now preparing things for our San Francisco office which will be the workplace for some of us the upcoming months.

Paulina is setting up our monthly newsletter on trends called SPARK that will be publicly available. More on this in the coming weeks.

I (Emil) am thinking about some prototype testing coming up. We're very pleased with what we have so far. Now it's time to see what other people think about it. It's always interesting to hear peoples intelligent comments on the things you've been working on. Suddenly some things become obvious. Looking forward to that.

Wednesday was workshop day with participants from Denmark and Sweden. Together with Jack and Matt from BERG we discussed how to create a great digital reading experience. We're really impressed with what the teams have come up with. Some images from the workshop can be seen in our Flickr account.

We also sat down for a nice dinner with Madeleine and Erich who are leaving our team and moving on with exciting new things. Alex also joined and he'll be back from his paternity leave after Christmas.

The weekend is coming up. I think I'll read/play (replay?) a CYOA book (Choose Your Own Adventure). Try it out you too!
