On the 16th of September, the two new editions will hit the newsstands in Australia and Germany.
"We are very pleased with the rapid expansion of Science Illustrated worldwide. Science Illustrated is our most successful international title and is now available in 14 countries. The interest for an entertaining magazine that makes you feel a bit smarter every time you read it is universal," says Anders Malmsten, International Licensing Director at Bonnier International Magazines.
The Australian edition will be published by Australian Media Properties, the publisher of the Australian edition of Popular Science (launched September last year). Popular Science Australia is published eleven times a year, Science Illustrated will be published six times a year, just like the US edition. Initially, the print run will be 25 000.
The German magazine will also be named Science Illustrated and will be published as a one-shot. The publisher, Family Media, is a magazine and book publisher focusing on parents and children. The German edition will have a print run of 80 000.
