The WakeBoarding magazine brand is about to make some major changes as it becomes TransWorld WAKEBOARDING, which will join Bonnier Corporation's other TransWorld titles. As part of the transition, the magazine will sport a fresh redesign mirroring the look of the other TransWorld brands.
"Becoming part of TransWorld will strengthen our brand recognition and bring even more attention to our sport and our industry," says Matt Hickman, director of brand strategy for TransWorld WAKEBOARDING. "It opens the door for us to offer more integrated programs to our partners across the entire action-sports market."
The integration will also include the extension of wakeboardingmag.com into the transworld.net network, which will expand TransWorld WAKEBOARDING's reach to a larger online audience.
In addition, the launch of TransWorld WAKEBOARDING will debut a new logo, larger format and higher-quality paper. The magazine will also implement new departments that are a signature of the TransWorld franchise including Check Out and Last Words.
"Readers will see a higher-quality magazine - bigger in size with better paper that gives our photos a sharper look with richer colors," says editor Kevin Michael. "Plus the tie-in to TransWorld gives the sport so many opportunities. We're ready to take wakeboarding to new heights."
With the integration of the WakeBoarding brand into TransWorld, the sport now will also be covered in TransWorld Business, a trade magazine showcasing information direct from the industry's top experts, point-of-sale retail data, information about the various sports and athletes, and more.
