Yourlife Wins Tidskriftsallsvenskan Magazine Competition

Swedish magazine competition Tidskriftsallsvenskan gives prize to Yourlife - a magazine, event and network concept for women interested in self-development.

Bonnier Tidskrifter's Yourlife magazine and holistic concept won the recent Swedish magazine competition Tidskriftsallsvenskan 2010. The competition recognizes the best new magazines in Sweden. The judges described Yourlife as"a strong magazine with good content that's found its audience and shows a whole new way to launch a magazine."

"It feels great," said Carina Nunstedt, editor-in-chief of Yourlife, when she and her editorial team took home the prize. "The whole team has worked so hard to create a magazine with more to read, greater depth and bigger dreams. Our readers are engaged women who want to develop themselves both at work and in their free time, and there are a lot of them. Yourlife was something they've wanted for a long time.

"It was particularly nice that we got the prize because we launched the magazine a totally different way. Yourlife wants to reach readers and advertisers in a variety of ways. We even have a highly praised site, www.yourlife.nu, and we have as many events and inspirational evenings as we have issues of the magazine."

This is the third year Swedish media industry magazine Resumé arranged the Tidskriftsallsvenskan competition. The jury included media entrepreneur Henrik Frenkel, media agency Carat's print manager Frida Åberg, customer magazine publisher Appelberg's editorial manager Maria Westman, magazine consultant Olle Lidbom and Resumé's editor-in-chief Viggo Cavling.

"It's a really good magazine, very professionally crafted," says Frenkel. "Furthermore, the magazine's start up was interesting, it started on the web as a network, then events were added and finally, the magazine. Normally it's done the opposite."

"This magazine has grown naturally from a network," says Frida Åberg. "It's like belonging to a club, the magazine is easy to like. It's a strong magazine with really good content and I truly believe it's found its audience."
