New CEO for the Bonnier Group and new Chairman<\/h1>\n

Stina Andersson will take over as new CEO of the Bonnier Group. She is currently Chief Operating Officer at Axel Johnson and is a member of the group management team.<\/span><\/h2>\n

\u201cStina has solid experience with investment operations and business development in a number of large and successful companies,\u201d says Bengt Braun<\/strong>, Chairman of the Board of the Bonnier Group. \u201cShe has also worked in both publicly traded and family business environments. Her background is a perfect fit with our new structure as an investment company and with the Bonnier Group\u2019s strong financial situation that allows new investments. I am very happy to welcome Stina on board.\u201d<\/p>\n

Stina Andersson currently serves as board member of several of the larger companies in the Axel Johnson Group, including Axfood, Dustin and Axel Johnson International. She is also deeply involved in Novax, Axel Johnson’s investment operation, and is Board Chair of newly established AxSol, which invests in solar energy companies.<\/p>\n

Prior to Axel Johnson, Stina Andersson worked as strategy and business development manager at Tele2 and with investments and strategy at Kinnevik. In both companies, she was part of group management. At the beginning of her career, she worked as a management consultant at McKinsey.<\/p>\n

\u201cI really look forward to being a part of Bonnier. Bonnier has a strong foundation built on the value of free speech and plays an important role in a democratic society,\u201d says Stina Andersson<\/strong>.
<\/span>\u201cThe group is a leader in a range of industries and has many companies with exciting development possibilities that I look forward to being a part of. Among other things, my focus will be on investments and acquisitions where we want to establish Bonnier in new areas with good growth potential,\u201d she says.<\/p>\n

Bengt Braun, Chairman of the Board of the Bonnier Group, has declined another term after serving 32 years on the parent company board. Erik Haegerstrand, current CEO of Bonnier Group, is proposed as new Chairman of the Board.<\/p>\n

Erik Haegerstrand has worked at Bonnier for many years, including Swedish national news daily Dagens Nyheter, commercial network TV4 and publishing house Bonnier Corporation in the U.S.
Since 2013, he has served as CEO of the Bonnier parent company.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cImproved profits and a stronge balance sheet makes it possible to invest in growth,\u201d says Erik Haegerstrand<\/strong>. \u201cThe decentralized way of working has contributed to both better profitability and faster decisions.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Stina Andersson will assume the role of CEO on September 1, 2021. Bengt Braun and Erik Haegerstrand remain in their current roles until then.<\/span><\/p>\n

Bonnier comprises the Nordic region’s leading media companies, with over 200 years of experience in a changing media landscape. The group also includes Bonnier Fastigheter, which owns, maintains and develops commercial real estate primarily in the Stockholm area. In addition, financial and other investments are made within the framework of the Bonnier Group.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Bonnier is based in Sweden, with a presence in 12 countries and is wholly owned by the Bonnier family. Sales in 2020 were SEK 20.8 billion with an operating profit of just over SEK 1.4 billion.
