The paper won for the best use of social media with its campaign <a href=\"http:\/\/www.expressen.se\/gt\/votegbg-ar-en-riktigt-stralande-varldssucce\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">#VoteGBG<\/a>. The awards were given out at the annual meeting of the INMA, held in San Francisco earlier this week.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s fantastic that GT, among all the world\u2019s big media companies, is the newspaper that took first prize for the best use of social media,\u201d said GT Editor-in-Chief Frida Boisen in an article in the paper. \u201cThroughout the conference, not least this evening, many of the world\u2019s most influential media powers have heard about the democracy efforts GT has made in G\u00f6teborg. For myself, I feel this prize belongs to all Gothenbergers who have signed the petition for a public referendum in G\u00f6teborg.
