Bonnier Group CEO Stina Andersson steps down

Bonnier Group’s Board of Directors and CEO Stina Andersson have jointly agreed that she leaves her role as CEO. The reason for the decision is difference in opinion about the strategic direction of the investment activities.

“It is unfortunate that we have reached this decision, despite the best intentions and ambitions. However, we have jointly concluded that this is the best way forward,” says Erik Haegerstrand, Chairman of the Board of Bonnier Group.

“Alignment between the board and the CEO is essential, and unfortunately, we have not quite got there. In this situation it is better that we go separate ways,” says Stina Andersson.

“I want to take the opportunity to thank Stina Andersson for her contributions,” says Erik Haegerstrand. “The group has continued its strong progress over the last year. Stina will maintain her involvement with the group in the future as a board member of our real estate holdings Bonnier Fastigheter.”

“I am grateful for my time as CEO of Bonnier. It is a fantastic group with many talented individuals, and I am happy to continue to be involved as member of the Bonnier Fastigheter Board,” says Stina Andersson.

Erik Haegerstrand takes over as CEO of the group and remains Chairman of the Board.

“Bonnier has a strong balance sheet with considerable room for investments and the operating companies Bonnier News, Bonnier Books, SF Studios and Adlibris are developing well, and so is Bonnier Fastigheter,” says Erik Haegerstrand. “The investment operations within Bonnier Ventures and Boninvest continues, with strengthened organizations, exploring many opportunities for new acquisitions and investments.”
