Leif GW Persson Wins the Glass Key

Bonnier author Leif GW Persson took home the eighth Glass Key for Sweden, awarded by the Crime Writers of Scandinavia, for his book Den döende detektiven, recognized as the best crime novel of 2010. You can read an interview in Swedish with Persson at Svensk Bokhandel.

The Glass Key has been awarded every year since 1992 to one crime novelist from Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland or Iceland. A jury in each country nominates a candidate and then all the juries vote on the winner. The prize will be awarded at the Gothenberg Book Fair on September 24. Previous Bonnier authors who have the prize include Johan Theorin, Karin Alvtegen, Karin Fossum and Fredrik Skagen.
