Bonnier Publishes Steve Jobs’ Biography in Swedish and Norwegian

On Oct. 5, a giant departed the earth – Steve Jobs. Science historian and former TIME editor Walter Isaacson followed Jobs for a number of years and interviewed him 40 times. The result is a biography that will be released on Oct. 24 in the U.S. and some 20 other countries. Among them is Sweden, published by Albert Bonniers Förlag.

“Jobs let nothing slide, including the choice of author for his biography,” says publisher Martin Kaunitz. “It’s hard to imagine a better combination than Jobs and Walter Isaacson. Nonetheless, Jobs didn’t dig into the writing or make any vetoes. It’s a fantastic book that shows the genius of Jobs exactly as he was.”

In Norway, Cappelen Damm is publishing the book.

“Steve Jobs isn’t just one of the world’s foremost innovators, his thinking lies behind many of our media habits,” says Ida Berntsen, publishing director for non-fiction at Cappelen Damm.

The work with the book at Cappelen Damm has been going on for months under strict security, since the contents are being kept confidential until the book launch. Plans are to release the book at the beginning of November.
